Turn west off of Highway 395 in Bishop onto Highway 168
(Follow signs to South Lake). Drive 15.1 miles to the junction
signed for South Lake, and turn left. Proceed another 7.2 miles

On To the Hunt!
Start at the Trailhead Information sign and take the marked trail
to the left. Follow along and above the lakeshore catching
glimpses of the surrounding peaks as you walk along the
aspen-lined trail. You'll wind through whitebark and lodgepole
pines. At 0.8 miles you'll arive at a junction with the Treasure
Lakes trail. Keep left , crossing a stream and wooden footbridge
at 1.0 miles. Continue on, climbing a series of switchbacks,
arriving at a junction with the trail to Bull and Chocolate Lakes

an area profuse with wildflowers. At 2.1 miles, you'll reach the
top af your climb. Descend to the shore of Long Lake. Follow
along the lake to the junction of Ruwau Lake at 2.8 miles.
